As a published author, LaVerne has shared her business strategies through her book, "Quick and Easy Steps to Starting a Profitable Homebased Business", which was featured in Essence Magazine 1997. She has written and contributed to local, state and federal legislation, and produced newsletters, congressional correspondence, grant support, and trade literature.
